Sleeping Beauty

Unfortunately, Maddie woke up sick this morning.  Her little belly can't keep anything down - this darn stomach bug that has invaded the greater St. Louis area is wreaking havoc on our house again.  However,  the 4 new loads of laundry, cancelled dinner plans, and rearranging of schedules may be worth it for this...a rare seen photo of a sleeping Maddie in her Daddy's arms.

Isn't she sweet?  

I tried to get her to fall asleep on me for awhile, but apparently I wasn't quite as comfy as her Daddy.  This has always been one of his favorite things about fatherhood - his little girls falling asleep on his chest.

"Big Sissy" Alex has been a trooper as mom and dad trade shifts with the sickie.  Here she is in the refrigerated sunroom (named because it lacks heat or insulation so we keep the door closed; however throw in a space heater and it's actually a quaint little hangout) entertaining herself.
